Welcome Header

We are a Catholic and Gospel-centered school for boys and girls in Pittsburgh, for preschool through 8. Our nine key departments are structured to organize and manage your child’s educational development across the most critical subject areas, bringing together diverse resources which emphasize study habits that nurture and define our students’ love of learning.

Our teachers are experienced and qualified, and are passionate about what they do. At East Catholic, we are committed to your child’s educational goals, as much as you are, recognizing that every individual student helps to enrich the excellent East Catholic learning experience, in a diverse, Christian-centered community.

East Catholic School was established in 2012 with the mergers of Good Shepherd, St. Maurice and Word of God Schools. The School is supported by a consortium of Parishes: Good Shepherd, Madonna del Castello, St. Colman, St. John Fisher, St. Maurice and Word of God. East Catholic School has a ministry to serve the students and families of the consortium parishes as well as those from the surrounding area. The School houses classrooms and up-to-date facilities for over 350 students from 3 year old preschool through 8th Grade. All access areas are securely monitored.
