MusicMusic

Students in music class at East Catholic School are given the opportunity for a well-rounded curriculum not only in music, but by developing an appreciation for both “Music” and “The Arts.” Starting in the primary classes students enjoy singing, rhythmic & movement activities, as well as playing percussion instruments and art related projects. As students enter third grade, they begin to learn more of the music theory and by fourth grade are learning how to play the recorder. As students continue on, they’re introduced to a variety of composers, different instruments, styles of music & different kinds of performances. This provides an understanding of how so many careers in our world are related to “Music” and “The Arts.” From singing to movement and playing instruments to performing, the students are sure to “Shake, Rattle & Roll” in music class.
